LONDON: A representative delegation of ‘Azadari Council, Britain’, including
Syed Faryad Hussain Bukhari (Chairman), Allama Mohammad Sibtain Kazmi (Quaid e Milat-e-Jafaria, Britain) and others Shia leaders held a
meeting with Dr. Faisal Aziz, Dy. High Commissioner of Pakistan at PHC.
Regarding coming Muharram-ul-Haram issues specially in Pakistan 🇵🇰 and Security problems.

The meeting was related to arrangements regarding the Muharram and the members of the delegation presented their suggestions to maintain peace and law & order. While appreciating the proposals of the delegation, Dr. Faisal Aziz said that it is the prime duty of every Muslim to respect the sentiments of each other and maintain the peace during in our life tile and especially in ‘Ashura-e-Muharram’.
He said that if we all can observe these important days in a peaceful way here in Britain then why can’t in Pakistan. He said that the suggestions of the delegation are very positive and practical and he will send them to the relevant authorities in Pakistan.

Dr. Faisal Aziz urged people to respect each other’s faith and ensure harmony during the months of Muharram and Safar. “The government appeals to the leaders and supporters of all political and religious parties in Pakistan to work for harmony, unity, for a better environment by avoiding provocative statements and abuses.
The members of the delegation urged the country’s political and religious leadership to work towards harmony among different faiths and schools of thought ahead of Muharram.
During Muharram, the first month of the Islamic lunar calendar, Shia Muslims across Pakistan hold gatherings and organize processions to pay homage to Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
In the past, militant groups have targeted these gatherings and procession and stoked sectarian tensions in Pakistan.
