ISLAMABAD: PML-N spokeswoman Marriyum Aurangzeb on Monday responded back at Prime Minister Imran Khan for his diatribe against the PML-N leadership in a live television show on Sunday and said that the Prime Minister’s comments were “full of fear and hopelessness” and implied that his “departure” was near.
While addressing a Press conference here at Islamabad, she questioned Imran Khan’s mental health. “When he was ranting and rambling from the container, he used to threaten that once he would be in power he would go after everyone, and after 4 years of being in power he was threatening that he wouldn’t spare anyone if he was booted out of power”, she said while referring to PM Imran’s statement.
She asked PM Khan do not try to become a political martyr. She was of the opinion that people would throw him out disgracefully.
Ms Aurangzeb noted when the PTI reign has started shaking due to its incompetence, then the rulers have started making threats. We are not afraid of threats. Remove this notion from you mind, she said
Time has come for the government to pack up, she figured. She said that despite the worst political victimization by the government, the PML-N succeeded in every trial and case.
She maintained that only Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif would give prosperity to Pakistan. They are the pivotal of Pakistani politics, she added.
The PML-N spokesperson said that Nawaz Sharif would return when the party would decide. But she told the rulers: Nawaz is about to return and you are about to leave.
She said threatening the people, the bureaucracy, the judiciary, national institutions, the parliament of Pakistan, only reflects Imran’s own fears.
The former Information Minister said Pakistan and the entire world had already seen the truth of both of Imran’s threats about on-street agitation and being in power.
She maintained further that in both cases the country and its people suffered.
“When he was on the streets he inflicted damage to Pakistan’s -economy and global perception. When he got into power he ran the most vicious campaign of political victimization”, she said.
Marriyum Aurangzeb says PM’s threats are out of his fear
“How dare you call Shehbaz Sharif a criminal?” she asked, adding, that the PTI government was relaunching projects conceived by Shehbaz as the then Chief Minister of Punjab.
She accused the prime minister of laundering money through 26 undeclared bank accounts and asked him to tell the public “real details” of the foreign funding case, claiming that his party could not submit a single document for six years.
She said PM Imran should not try to become a political martyr. “Do not shift the blame on institutions for the current crisis because of your own incompetence.”
She said her party would resort to all “public and political tactics” to oust PM Imran from power.”We will not just dislodge you from power, but we will pull you from the ear for what you have done to the masses,” she claimed.
The PML-N leader said the prime minister would only face the public’s anger if he took to the streets. She was referring to the PM’s response to a caller yesterday, during which he warned his opponents that he would be a greater threat to them if he was out of power.
“If I exit the government, I will pose a greater threat to you. Right now, I am sitting quietly in my office and watching the drama unfold.
