to play important role
again in Sindh situation


DUBAI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar and former Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan held hours-long meeting in Dubai in which they exchanged views on the political situation of the country.

DUBAI: MQM leader Farooq Sattar and former Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan discussing country’s overall situation at Dubai. Both were in agreement to make joint efforts to fill the political vacuum in Karachi and Sindh.

Farooq Sattar and Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan agreed to formulate a joint strategy to address the issues of Karachi and urban areas of the province. They expressed great concern over the deteriorating overall situation and said that people were frustrated and desperate and should get remedy.

The former governor said that Karachi has failed to play a national role in the country’s politics. He urged to prioritize the national interests after forgetting the bitter memories.

Sattar said that national issues could be resolved through joint struggle. He also suggested to contact other experienced and intelligent political figures.

They discussed that the sense of deprivation is increasing among Karachi citizen and it is inevitable to formulate a joint strategy.

Farooq Sattar said that there should be a charter of stability, development and prosperity should be finalised to cope with the challenges.

Political sources in Karachi and Dubai have said that this meeting is a big development in Karachi’s politics and we are expecting very significant changes in this regard. “Both politicians are very popular and if a joint strategy is formulated, would be in the larger interest.

Meanwhile, responding a volley of questions at Karachi airport before returning to Dubai, Dr. Ebad said that I wish and pray for peace in the country.
