Two police officers
dismissed after a domestic
incident in Bolton


MANCHESTER: PC Lee-Green and PC Hussain, both based in the Bolton district, were dismissed on Friday 15th October after it was found that they had breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour during an incident on the evening of the 3rd April 2020 and later on the 11th April 2020.

PC Hussain faced allegations involving four breaches of the Standards of Professional Behaviour, in particular the standards relating to Honesty and Integrity,performance of duties, discreditable conduct and challenging and reporting improper conduct.

PC Lee-Green faced allegations for breaching honesty and integrity, performance of duties, authority, respect and courtesy and discreditable conduct.

Following an 3 day hearing, the panel found that they had breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour and were dismissed without notice

A GMP Spokesperson said: “We hold our officers and staff to the highest possible standards, and we know the majority of our workforce carry out their duties with honesty, integrity and pride. Misconduct of any kind, at any rank, is addressed.

“When allegations of gross misconduct are made, swift and robust action is taken to ensure we maintain the confidence of the public we serve. We remain committed to being as open and transparent with the public as possible in our dealings with misconduct allegations and findings to demonstrate our approach to  behaviour which is inconsistent with what is expected of us at GMP.

“In this case, these two officers failed to provide the service our communities expect and they have since been dismissed without notice. We will continue to take action against any officers or staff who are proven to have failed to carry out their duties to the highest standard we expect.”
