LONDON: Prominent scholar and educationist Peer Syed Sabir Hussain Shah Gilani passed away due to cardiac arrest on Friday. The sad demise took place at the Darul Uloom, Walthamstow, East London.
He was preparing for Friday prayer that suddenly he felt heart attack and collapsed instantly. He was a great name in religious education and served the diaspora for over 30 years.
His funeral prayer will take place on Saturday at about 7pm at the Jamia Masjid-e-Ghousia, 439-451 Leabridge Road, Leyton, London E10 7EA. Later, the body will be taken to Pakistan for burial.
Peer Sabir Hussain was the elder brother of Mufikker-e-Islam Peer Syed Abdul Qadir Hussain Gilani and father of Sahibzada Peer Syed Mazhar Hussain Shah. Everyone who listened the news of sad demise expressed regret and condolence. A large number of mourners from all over the UK shall attend the funeral.
Meanwhile, Peer Syed Abdul Qadir Hussain Gilani, Sahibzada Peer Syed Mazhar Hussain Shah, Allama Qazi Abdul Aziz Chishti, Cllr Liaquat Ali MBE, Ch. Shokat Ali, Raja Allah Ditta ,Ch. Mohammad Siddiq,Syed Qamar Raza,Qari Ashraf Sayalvi ,Tahir Choudhry, Mohammad Sarwar, Ejaz Ahmed, Mushtaq Sandhu, Tariq Mahmood Khan and hundreds of other mourners have expressed their condolence and pray for the departed soul.
