MULTAN: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sirajul Haq has said the JI wants the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf-led government to go down on its own rather than being forced out through any unconstitutional way and become a political martyr.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, he criticized the prime minister for making tall claims and describing three-year performance of the government as excellent, saying the claims of the ruling party was contrary to the ground realities.
Inflation, joblessness and bad governance are the trademarks of the current regime. There is no difference between the PTI government and past rulers. The PTI, the PML-N and the PPP are the sides of the same coin and they all are badly failed to deliver.
Sirajul Haq addressed a Shahdat Conference in memory of the martyr of Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) student Kaleem Ullah. A drug peddler recently murdered Kaleem in Bahauddin Zakaria University.
He said the management and authorities of the educational institutions should take strict action against the growing culture of drug supply and use in the university and colleges premises. He demanded the family of the Kaleem should be provided justice. He also addressed female students at Jamiatul Mohsinat and inaugurated the religious seminary.
The JI chief also visited Kabirwala Khanewal and addressed a ceremony at residence of Pir Haidar Raza. He said the JI believed in a democratic political struggle and appealed the people to vote for the party in coming election to put the country on track.
Sirajul Haq condemned the bomb blasts at Kabul Airport, saying there must be an end to bloodbath in the war-torn country and Afghan people should be provided an opportunity to live in peace. He said the US forces must leave the country till August 31.
Siraj-ul-Haq said that Kashmir and Palestine are our ideological fronts. The UAE s recognition of Israel is tantamount to the Arabs defeat to Israel.
He rejected the UAE and Israel’s agreement. The issue of Palestine is not about the Arabs, it is about the faith of all of us, said Siraj-ul-Haq.
Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami said that the whole of Pakistan is with the people of Palestine and Gaza. If we withdraw from Palestine, we may have to withdraw from Kashmir as well. Senator Siraj-ul-Haq said that Muslims all over the world must speak with one voice for the oppressed people of Palestine and Kashmir.
