ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will get a briefing on assault and harassment against a female TikToker at Minar-e-Pakistan on Independence Day during his upcoming Lahore visit on Wednesday.
According to sources privy to the schedule of the premier, Imran Khan is expected to reach Lahore on Wednesday where he would be briefed on various provincial affairs.
The prime minister will chair a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister House where he would review uplift projects launched in the Punjab province, they said.
It further emerged that the prime minister would also be briefed on the progress being made on the case of a female TikToker, who was assaulted and harassed at Minar-e-Pakistan on Independence Day.
Police on Saturday said that they have arrested 130 people and identified 40 of them through videos of the Minar-e-Pakistan incident. The police while sharing progress on the matter said they have so far identified 40 people whose presence has been confirmed via video evidence available with the authorities.

We have also recorded the statement of a person accompanying the female TikToker and he has also undergone a medical test, they said adding that the suspects arrested are also being identified with the help of those accompanying the TikToker.
They said that overall 130 suspects have been arrested and 70 of them were released after the identification of 22 suspects the previous day.
Lahore District Court sent 30 more accused to jail for identity parade in a case of insulting a woman at Minar Pakistan while police arrested 36 more accused.
Another 30 accused arrested by the police in a case of insulting a woman were produced in the court under tight security, where the police requested to send the accused to jail for an identity parade.
The Judicial Magistrate heard the plea of the police and granted the petition, sent the accused to the jail for identification parade and directed the jail superintendent to complete the arrangements for the identification parade.
Dawn newspaper reported seen in the video clip that is enclosed in a terrible situation helpless and frightened woman and some boys gave her clothes torn.
In a related development, the Inspector General of Police appointed new SSP Operations Lahore, SP City Division and two other police officers in place of those suspended for negligence in the case.
According to the notification issued in this regard, Lahore Admin SSP Shoaib Anwar has been transferred and posted as SSP Operations while SP Rizwan Tariq of Jaranwala Division has been posted as City Police Division SP.
IG police had confirmed that 36 more people were arrested on Saturday, bringing the total number of suspects arrested so far in the Tuck Tucker abuse case to 66.
Most of the arrests came from around Minar Pakistan, where large numbers of people attended the Independence Day celebrations. These people were arrested on the basis of reports issued by NADRA.
