LONDON: Allama Qazi Abdul Aziz Chishti along with Mayor of Luton Cllr Mahmood Hussain, Deputy leader of council Cllr Aslam Khan, Former Cllr Riaz Butt,Zafeer Bhatti OBE. Mohtaram Shahzada Hayat, leading business personalities Asif Hussain, Prof Mumtaz Butt, Ishtiaq Mahmood, Raja Israr and rising star of UK MMA Faisal Malik visited Pakistan High Commission and held a meeting with High Commissioner Moazzame Ahmad Khan, High Commissioner to Pakistan in the U.K.
The group welcomed the high commissioner and appreciated the work of the High Commission during the Pandemic.
Allama Sahib on behalf of Markazi Jamat Ahle Sunnat UK and Overseas, raised two critical issues on behalf of Muslims of UK. Firstly, the recent behaviour of so-called scholars insulting the Blessed Imams of Ahlulbait and part of the blessed 12 imams. The issue highlighted that such scholars seek to divide Muslims and build sectarian hate. They should not only be stopped but also prosecuted under the Law.
Second issue raised was regarding the recent Domestic Violence Bill. Whilst all Muslims feel that protection rights should be given to families however this bill seeks to westernise Pakistan culture and traditions and limit the correct rights of parents and husband and wife. We ask the government carry out an immediate review on this bill.
Rising Pakistani young star of MMA in the U.K. Faisal Malik was also lauded by the High Commissioner for his efforts in the field of sport and representing Pakistan.
Finally, an award was presented by His Excellency to Allama Chishti on behalf of Shahzada Hayat and His humanitarian organisation for the outstanding work carried out by Allama Sahib over the Pandemic and years in the U.K.
