JI urges govt to tell about missing people are dead or alive

ISLAMABAD: Protest by grieved families of kidnapping and missing people is continued at D-Chowk, Islamabad and political parties are supporting them on regular basis. Holding both the present and former rulers responsible for the plight of the relatives of the mission persons, Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Senator Sirajul Haq has asked the government to immediately address the issue or at least inform the families if their relatives are alive or dead.

“Both the present and past rulers paid no attention to the miseries of mothers, sisters and daughters of the persons who are missing for years for unknown reasons,” he said while speaking to the media on Friday at Islamabad’s D-Chowk where he came to visit protesters who are demonstrating over the issue of missing persons in Balochistan.

“Thousands of people from Balochistan, KP, Punjab and Sindh are missing but rulers are silent.”

Produce them before the courts if they committed any crime or release them from where they are if they are not guilty of any wrongdoing, he demanded of the rulers.

It was matter of shame that women were sitting in front of parliament and ministers and advisors to the PM passed through the sit-in silently in costly vehicle, he added.

“The PM should visit to the sit-in and assured them their issues will be resolved.”

To a question, he replied the PTI government miserably failed to address the problems of masses.

The inflation and unemployment were rampant and institutions were on the verge of collapse, he said, adding the PM claims to bring revolution in the field of health in KP and environment sector were contrary to the ground realties.

The PTI government added to the problems of the country instead of resolving them in past two and half years, he said.

The senator said the enforcement of system based on true Islamic democratic values was the only way to solve the long lingering problems of the country.

He said masses were fed up from the three so-called main political parties and wanted real change. He said the JI would resolve the problems of the masses and put the country on track if voted to power.
