Pakistan to take action against Daesh militants

ISLAMABAD: At a high-level meeting at the lawn of PM House in Islamabad on Monday, Prime Minister Imran Khan, COAS Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa and DG-ISI Lt. Gen Faiz Hameed discussed overall internal and external situation being faced by the country and the PTI Government.
According to informed sources, main subjects stocked during the discussions were including political situation, opposition’s rigid attitude particularly the bombardment of accusations against the Army and certain senior generals, serious allegations of foreign funding to PTI and its government. The all three participants expressed their observations and opinion on the conflicting issues.
“Opposition leaders in their ongoing power shows (public meetings), are continuously levelling very serious allegations which will have dire ramifications. DG-ISPR Major Babar Iftikhar had to clarify Army’s position on these issues at a press conference in Islamabad on Monday”, the observers said adding that Army spokesman claimed; “India is involved in promoting anti-Pakistan agenda in six domains, which include abetting terrorism, targeting economy, using diplomacy, fomenting chaos, Kashmir and social issues.
Confirming the meeting, a statement released by the PM House said that the meeting while taking stock the unfortunate incident of killing 11 coal-miners in Mach, Balochistan on Sunday morning condemned this alarming situation and it was resolved that the perpetrators would be brought to justice.
They were astonished and worried how the culprits who claim themselves the activists of Daesh organisation were present and active in Pakistan and have been far away from the eyes of law enforcing agencies. “Their time is over and would be apprehended soon for which the government will take serious action”, it was resolved.
“The unfortunate Mach, Balochistan incident was highly condemned. It was resolved that the perpetrators would be brought to justice,” the press release said.
The statement further said that the other issue of mutual concern was “continuous human rights violations in Jammu & Kashmir and frequent ceasefire violations over the Line of Control. The meeting expressed concern over the prevailing situation and resolved to continue support to Kashmiri people in their just struggle.”
Gen Bajwa briefed the meeting about his recent visits to LoC and expressed his satisfaction of preparedness and alertness of deployed soldiers there.
Prime Minister Imran Khan flayed opposition’s attitude and blame game against the Army and said that he has instructed his team to counter attack to all allegations. “Opposition leaders just want to achieve their ulterior motives and nothing else but they will never be successful in their drive”, he stated.
“Opposition did try its best to gain political scoring out of his late going to Quetta after Mach incident but people did not support them and he himself negated their negative approach by meeting grieving Hazara families and telling them the truth”; Imran Khan said.
