AJK Cabinet condemns registration of sedition case against Farooq Haider


MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir cabinet which met here on Tuesday strongly denounced the registration of a sedition case against AJK Prime minister Raja Farooq Haider. The cabinet expressed their full confidence over the leadership of Prime Minister Farooq Haider Khan and strongly condemned the treason case registered at a police station in Lahore against central leadership of Muslim league (N) and Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan.

The cabinet observed that such a case against the leaderships has sparked a wave of serious concern among the democratic loving people and termed it a conspiracy against the interest of Pakistan and an attempt to weaken the strong relations with Pakistan.  The cabinet also condemned the killing of a renowned religious scholar Moulana Adil and urged to apprehend the culprits. 

Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan presided the meeting which also condemned the human rights violations in J&K. The cabinet adopted a number of resolutions strongly condemning the extra judicial killings of Kashmiri people and imposed ban on media and human rights organizations to conceal the facts about the massive genocide of Kashmiri people in occupied Kashmir to crush the legitimate struggle of Kashmiri people. The resolution urged upon the international community to play its effective role in stopping the systematic killings of Kashmiri people at the hands of brute Indian forces and grant the Kashmiri people their internationally accepted right to self-determination.

The cabinet condemned the assassination of a renowned lawyer Baber Qadari advocate by the Indian forces. The Cabinet particularly paid homage to the Shaheed lieutenant Nasir Khaild who has offered his life for the defence of the motherland in North Waziristan.
