Maryam says party wouldn’t split, demands arrest of Asim Bajwa


LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz on Monday said that the party would not split into two factions.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore flanked by party leader Ahsan Iqbal, she said that the PML-Shahbaz [PML-S] and PML-Nawaz [PML-N] are united and would never part ways. “S (sheen) will not separate from N (noon),” she said, referring to Shehbaz and the PML-N.

Speaking of the brotherhood between Shehbaz and Nawaz, Maryam said although Shehbaz personally considered politics of reconciliation to be better, “when Nawaz Sharif takes a decision, Shehbaz is the first to implement it. She said “in the eyes of the people, especially in Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif is not the alternative to PM Imran Khan but he is the only choice. “No one has brought more disrepute to the institutions than” the PTI government, Maryam alleged.

She lamented the arrest of party president Shehbaz Sharif said that for the first time in the history of the country the Leader of opposition in the National Assembly has been arrested for the second time.

Maryam Nawaz said that Shehbaz Sharif has not been arrested on allegations but for standing by the side of former prime minister and party supremo Nawaz Sharif. She demanded that Lt. Gen ® Asim Saleem Bajwa should be arrested for massive corruption but sadly he was not made
