LONDON: Responding to a statement by Labour Leader Sir Keir Starmer, Amanda Milling MP, Co-Chairman of the Conservative Party has said that rather than stoking people’s fears about their future, Sir Keir should put politics aside and start supporting the Government.

She said; “We already have a comprehensive national Plan for Jobs – to protect jobs, support people into jobs, and create new jobs – a plan which he opposed. Through the furlough scheme and business grants, we have protected incomes and livelihoods throughout the pandemic. While he criticizes from the sidelines, this Government is delivering for the people of this country as we build back better from coronavirus.”

Meanwhile, commenting, Amanda Milling MP, Co-Chairman of the Conservative Party has said: “People will be appalled that when presented with another opportunity to stand up for the integrity of the United Kingdom, Labour yet again chose to side with the European Union.

She said; “Our UK Internal Market Bill protects the Union and ensures we can preserve peace in Northern Ireland, whereas Labour just followed their instinct to side with Brussels again. We will always work to ensure the UK continues to thrive, as we deliver on our manifesto promise to ensure unfettered trade across the whole United Kingdom.”
