MUMBAI: Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti on Saturday penned down a note, urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to look into the entire case.
Seeking justice for her late brother, Shweta has been sharing a lot of updates on her social media handles.
After her father levelled serious allegations against actor Rhea Chakraborty, she had written, “If truth doesn’t matter, nothing ever will.
Earlier today, Shweta penned a note tagging Prime Minister Modi which reads, “Dear sir, somehow my heart says that you stand with and for the truth. We are from a very simple family. My brother had no godfather when he was in Bollywood nor do we have anyone right now. My request to you is to immediately look into this case and make sure that everything is handled in sanitised way and no evidence are tampered with. Expecting justice to prevail.”
“I am sister of Sushant Singh Rajput and I request an urgent scan of the whole case. We believe in India’s judicial system and expect justice at any cost. @narendramodi @PMOIndia #JusticeForSushant #SatyamevaJayate”, she further added.
On Friday, Shweta had taken to Instagram to post a photo of Rajput’s whiteboard in which he had written down his plan from June 29, 2020, which includes starting workout sessions and transcendental meditation.
“Bhai’s White Board where he was planning to start his workout and transcendental meditation from 29th June daily. So he was planning ahead. #justiceforsushantsinghrajput”, she wrote.
Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14.
According to the Maharashtra police, statements of 41 people, including filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, film critic Rajeev Masand, director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and filmmaker Aditya Chopra have been recorded in the investigation so far. (ANI)
Father KK Singh
Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh has revealed that he had filed a complaint with Mumbai police in February claiming his son’s life was in danger. The revelation came as he filed an FIR with Patna police, alleging Mumbai police of inaction even after 40 days of the actor’s sudden death.
In a self-made video, Singh alleged that the accused in the actor’s death case is on the loose and Patna Police should be provided with help.
“On February 25, I informed Bandra Police that the life of my son Sushant is in danger. He died on June 14 and I asked them to act against people named in my Feb 25 complaint. No action has been taken even 40 days after his death. So, I filed FIR in Patna. Patna Police swung into action. But the accused is running away(on the loose). Patna Police should be given help. I thank Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his colleague Sanjay Jha who gave support to the truth in this hour of grief,” he said.
After the actor’s demise on June 14, he asked the police to take action against the people named in the complaint given by him on February 25, said Singh, adding that no action has been taken.
An FIR was filed by Patna Police against actor Rhea Chakraborty in the Rajput’s death case under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including abetment of suicide.
The statement of actor Rhea Chakraborty has been recorded by the Mumbai Police in connection with a case related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, her lawyer Satish Maneshinde said on Monday.
Refuting the reports that Rhea is missing, Maneshinde said that the actor’s statement has been recorded by the Mumbai Police and she is cooperating with police whenever called.
“The contention of Bihar Police that Rhea Chakraborty is missing is not correct. Her statement has been recorded by Mumbai police. She’s cooperating with police as and when called. Till today no notice or summons has been received by her from Bihar Police and they have no jurisdiction to investigate the case,” Maneshinde said in a statement.
