Well Pharmacy launches online shop for home delivery through Royal Mail

LONDON: In wake of corona hardship circumstances when long queues are experienced outside every shop particularly the pharmacy outlets, the prestigious institution Well Pharmacy has launched a new online shopping portal offering delivery of its healthcare products directly to customers’ doorstep.

According to details available here, the new online shop is expected to help customers to access a range of healthcare essentials without leaving their homes during the current Covid-19 pandemic period.

Detailing the service and procedure, Well says that the customers need to pay a delivery charge of £4 per order and their medical essentials will be delivered via Royal Mail. Well is the UK’s largest independent pharmacy, and have been helping customers in 760 pharmacies across the country for over 70 years.

The current coronavirus pandemic means not everyone can get to their local pharmacy. Social distancing, shielding and isolation measures are vital to stopping the spread of COVID-19. With Well online shop, one can buy some essential health products without compromising safety, or the safety of those around them.

Jeremy Harrison, Well’s Commercial Director said: “With uncertainty over how long any lockdown may last, and customers who visit our pharmacy minimising their time with us by just focusing on collecting their prescribed medication, we saw that there was a need to still supply these everyday healthcare essentials  that our customers usually buy from us…”

Customers and patients can still visit Well pharmacies to collect their medicines. The chain has requested customers to pay with a contactless card where possible to avoid close contact and reduce workload on pharmacy teams.

While welcoming the new initiative, the customers commented that home delivery service through Royal Mail is very convenient and will facilitate all those people who need it and can’t go to pharmacy themselves.
