“Open Kitchen” Muslim Hands’ laudable initiative for needy people

LONDON: Muslim Hands, the world renowned charity organisation, has initiated a noble and laudable welfare programme to feed the hungry and needy people free of cost and as a pilot project, a ‘Open Kitchen’ has started working on 514 Great West Road, Hounslow, London where hundreds of people are being feeded on daily basis.

To mark the occasion an introductory congregation was held at Royal Nawab on Thursday attended by prominent community members who over-whelming appreciated the project. Addressing the event, prominent religious scholar and Pakistan’s former federal minister Peer Aminul Hasnat said that feeding the hungry and helpless people is the best deed in Islam and a commendable step to Almighty Allah and his beloved last Prophet {PBUH].

“Muslim Hand has started this righteous project which is highlighted by every religion. This is basic service to the humanity”, he emphasised.

Lord Nazir Ahmed, said that Muslim Hands is striving hard to serve the ailing and worried humanity and the ‘Open Kitchen’ is another step in this direction which should be supported and appreciated by everyone.

Syed Lakht-e-Hasnain, Chairman, acquainted the participants of the event that Muslim Hands believes in service and working in 50 countries without any discrimination. “We are serving not only Muslims but all without considering cast, creed and colour”, he added.

Cllr Steve (Leader of the Hounslow Council), Ahsan Shahid, Cllr. Nisar Malik, Maqsood Ahmed, Tariq Dar, Mushtaq Lashari, Mr. Sikender, Ch. Abdul Majeed and Syed Yasrab also expressed their views and appreciated the gesture of Muslim Hands. Qari Mahmood recited the holy Qura’n while Osama Jameel paid poetic tribute to last Prophet [PBUH].
