Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust hosts charity dinner in Birmingham


BIRMINGHAM: Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT) hosted a successful charity dinner at Crystal Plaza, Armoury Road. The charity is responsible for building and maintaining an educational and residential complex designed to cater for the needs of orphans.

The flagship complex already includes residential, educational, recreational and medical amenities for residents. Guests who have visited the complex shared their experiences of visiting the complex and provided testimonials for the work that has been carried out there. Furthermore renowned Nasheed artists Naseeb Abbass and Khadija Dilnawaz recited beautiful Nasheeds at the event leaving the audience mesmerised by the spiritual and religious performances.

In addition to the evening also included an auction and fundraising. Kashmir orphan relief trust now plans to expand its premises to cater for the needs of overseas volunteers such as doctors, educators and other professionals who wish to use their skills to support this worthy cause, so they are able to reside within the complex during their visit.
