ISLAMABAD:Pakistan Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has assured Kashmiris that Pak Army stands with their cause which is genuine and legitimate and Indian Government is adamant to curtail their basic right of self-determination.
He said while talking to AJK President Sardar Masood Khan who called on him at GHQ in Rawalpindi today (Tuesday). “Pakistan armed forces are fully with Kashmiris in their just struggle and no efforts would be spared in their support”, he assured.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest particularly the prevailing situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and Jammu & Kashmir were discussed. According to informed sources, Sardar Masood briefed Bajwa about the over internal, law & order and particularly the political situation in AJK. In return, Gen Bajwa detailed the various measures that have been taken by the Army to secure the borders linked with India.
“We very well know how to give befitting response to any move by Indian army and also know the sensitive and strategic installations of India military hardware across the LoC”, Bajwa said adding that we are fully ready and whatever comments are being made by Indian political and military leadership are mere empty threats.
“Situation at border is crucial and alarming and we are expecting any adventure from Indian side but never mind, we are also fully ready and will give an appropriate answer as we are keeping a close eye on Indian military’s movement”, Gen Bajwa stated.
