TeK to hold demonstration at IHC in London on Jan 26

BIRMINGHAM: Tehreek-e-Kashmir (TeK, UK) will hold a protest outside Indian High Commission London on India’s Republic Day on January 26 in favour to their demand for the right of self-determination of Kashmiris. This was decided in an All Kashmir Parties meeting chaired by TeK UK President Raja Fahim Kayani here.

Addressing the meeting, Fahim Kayani said; “Kashmiris will observe Indian Republic Day as Black Day. The so called largest democracy of the world has been exposed by denying  to give the fundamental right of  self-determination to the people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K) granted by the United Nations UN while promised by fore fathers of Indian nation. New Delhi claims that Kashmir is integral part of India then why Modi has deployed one million troops in J&K. Heavy deployment of troops is indicating that India’s target is to crush non-violent freedom movement in J&K,” he added.

Kayani accused India of killing innocent Kashmiris and arresting thousands since 1989. “India is committing war crimes against humanity in J&K. World community must take notice of Indian government atrocities being committed by Indian army ,” Kayani stressed.

He was of the view that the demonstration outside Indian High Commission in London will expose what he called “brutal and violent face” of India before the world. Kayani claimed that  India is using brutal tactics to break the will  of people of Kashmir while imposing curfew, communication and economic blockade and  using molestation of women as weapon of war in J&K.

Fahim Kayani further said that people across the UK will gather before the Indian High Commission on January 26 to remind the world of their role to implement the UN resolutions in IOJ&K aimed to bring peace in South Asia that is at stake.

In the All Parties meeting PML-N, PPP, PTI, Jamaat-e-Islami , Muslim Conference and other religious and social organizations representatives also spoke with reference to protest programme.
