Two charged with murder of Zahir


LONDON: Two men have been charged with the murder of 25-year-old Zahir Visiter who died after being stabbed in St John’s Wood, the Met has confirmed.

Kamal Hussain – 21 and Yosif Ahmed – 18 both from Westminster, were charged with murder this morning (Thursday, 4 April). Both will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 4 April.

An 18-year-old man [C] arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released under investigation. All three were arrest at an address in Whitechapel on Wednesday, 3 April. Zahir died after being attacked in Cunningham Place, NW8 at around 18:15hrs on Thursday, 28 March.

Armed officers sealed off the mosque after the attack nearby, and the Metropolitan Police later said a search of the building was linked to the attack. Three arrests were made at an address in Whitechapel on Wednesday.
