LONDON: Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Education Mr Shafqat Mahmood visited the British Parliament on Wednesday and held meetings with Lords and MPs. During the meetings, he briefed the Parliamentarians about the education system and future plan of the government in relevant sector.
“We admire the British education system and would like to be benefitted out of it by exchanging visits and contacts on regular basis”, Shafqat Mahmood stated inviting them to visit Pakistan at their earliest convenience.
On reciprocal basis, the Parliamentarians appreciated Pakistan’s progress in education field and assured their full cooperation to enhance the bilateral relations and contacts.
Shafqat Mahmood and Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas attended a reception at Marriot County Hall on Thursday). This event was attended Pakistani students from across the UK and hosted by South Asia Society at the London School of Economics (LSE).
