Ingredients

1 cup all purpose flour

1 tablespoon cumin powder

1 cauliflower

1 cup peas

1 tablespoon ginger paste

1 teaspoon powdered black pepper

2 finely chopped tomato

1 cup bread crumbs

water as required

1/2 cup milk

3 medium potato

1 egg

2 medium chopped onion

1 tablespoon red chilli powder

1 tablespoon powdered turmeric

salt as required

4 finely chopped green chilli

1 cup vegetable oil

Preparation

Step 1

To prepare this mouth-watering roll recipe, wash cauliflower in hot water and keep it aside. Boil the potatoes and cut into cubes.

Step 2

Heat oil in a frying pan and add cumin seeds in it. When it starts crackling add onion and fry until it becomes translucent. Next, add the ginger garlic paste and all the spices. Fry them for 2 minutes.

Step 3

Once the spices are cooked add chopped tomatoes, green chillies. Stir them well and add cauliflower, potatoes and peas. Cook it for 5 minutes and turn off the flame. Add fresh coriander and keep them aside.

Step 4

Now, for making the pan cakes, take a bowl and add all purpose flour, milk, water and egg. Mix and whisk them well to form a thick batter.

Step 5

Take a frying pan and grease it with oil. Pour a small amount of batter with the help of ladle and spread it to become a thin pancake. Cook it until the batter is fully set. When it is cooked properly put it onto a plate.

Step 6

Now, add 2 tablespoon of vegetable filling and roll it. Dip these pancakes in the remaining batter, breadcrumbs and coat them well. Place a pan over medium flame and heat oil in it. Once it is heated add the rolls and deep fry until they become golden.

Finally, transfer the vegetable pancake rolls on a serving plate and serve warm with any chutney of your choice.
