Imran Khan, Asad wishes a happy Diwali to Hindus

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday  extended wishes to  Hindu community celebrating Diwali festival.

The premier used his Twitter account to wish a happy Diwali to  Hindu citizens of Pakistan.

Diwali is Hindu festival of lights and the most popular festival of Hindusim. During the celebration, temples, homes, shops and office buildings are brightly illuminated.

Sindh government has announced a holiday for all its employees belonging to Hindu community.

Meanwhile, Asad Qaiser, Speaker National Assembly has greeted Hindu Parliamentarians and the Hindu Community on their religious festival Diwali.

In his message, the Speaker expressed his delight on this auspicious occasion and said that Pakistan is a pluralistic country this is enriched with cultural diversity and celebrates each of them with equal zeal and zest.  He also recognized the rich contributions of the Hindu Community in prosperity and development of the County.

Qasim Khan Suri, Deputy Speaker National Assembly also conveyed his sincere and warm greetings on Diwali to his fellow Hindu Members of the National Assembly. He also appreciated their contribution in national development, fostering national unity and cohesion.
