Benefits of apple cider vinegar

WASHINGTON: Chugging apple cider vinegar has been a trendy healthy thing to do for a while now, but does a sour spoonful in the morning really work?

According to Newsweek, while there is “plenty of historical and anecdotal testimony to the virtues of vinegar” the benefits need to be proved by larger studies. However, when it comes to weight loss for example, a study of Japanese obese people found that ingesting 1 to 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar daily can promote reduction of weight, fat mass and triglycerides.

Animal studies have also found that vinegar can potentially reduce blood pressure and abdominal fat cells.
