Faith – a personal matter, debate futile!

Friends,
The new Islamic year has started and I pray that Allah blesses all of us with peace and happiness. However, with this starts the month of Muharram.

Muharram is known as the month of remembrance and it is believed to be the most sacred month abd Muslims are not allowed to fight during Muharram. Some important Islamic historical events that happened during the month include, The Battle of Karbala (currently in Iraq) in the year 680 CE, which enabled Husayn ibn Ali, a grandson of the Prophet Muhammed, and his army to enter the city on the first day of the month. The restriction of Husayn ibn Ali’s access to water on the seventh day. The death of Husayn ibn Ali and his clan (Ahl al-Bayt) on the 10th day of the month.

Our Prophet (PBUH) is a last prophet and there is no one after him and as a Muslim this is our Emaan and belief we can not discuss, argue about it, it is what I think and what I believe.

LAHORE: Sep 12 – Residents of Muhalla Pandi Rajpootian are protesting in favor or early recovery of their daughter who was kidnapped for ransom outside Lahore Press Club.

Friends for a few weeks now there has been a very hot debate going on all over social media, TV channels and Whatsapp groups about the appointment of some Atif who is Ahmadi or known as Qadiani. The point was given that he is very intelligent and the best in the field etc. Then the debate started in regards to Ahmadies being the minorities and not Kafirs, and all the explanations and justifications to save him and to continue with the job.

My question is that why this matter is debatable? Is our Emaan and belief that weak now that we have to save a qadiani for a job? This is my personal opinion and nothing to do with someone, as a Muslim I can’t respect a qadiani because they created some Mirza as ‘Nauz Billah’, a prophet, which is not acceptable in any way. There are Hindus, Sikhs, Christians and they don’t call themselves Muslims, they have their own religion which is fine but they are not Muslims. These Qadianies called themselves Muslims and create another prophet and we argue for weeks that some person is very intelligent to save a country etc, why there are hundreds of Muslims who are much more intelligent to be able to do the job, we don’t need anyone else.

We don’t celebrate anything in the month of Muharram as our Prophet (PBUH) grandson was Shaheed and his family suffered, but we can argue that a Qadiani is a minority and not Kafir?

I request you all if you are Muslims then there is no argument, debate and discussion if it comes to our Prophet (PBUH). No matter who you friends with, how influential the person is or which status he or she is, for me there is nothing in front of my beloved Prophet (PBUH). In life we do many mistakes as a human and I don’t criticize people for what they wear, where they go or do but if it comes to respect of religion or our Prophet (PBUH) then I don’t care who the person is, I will not respect them. Be proud as a Muslim and respect yourself and who you are.

In the end, I would like to say that we talk too much on faith issue but never both the help others and to act to eliminate injustice from the society. I want to draw your attention towards a picture (also being published with this column), a poor family is protesting against the barbarism that they suffered. The family is appealing Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Justice Saqib Nisar for the justice. Whatever has happened to the family is written on the banner.
