RIYADH:The SaudiArabianRoyal family has released a photograph of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman amid conflicting claims by Iranian and Russian media (God forbid) about assassination.
Prince Mohammad had not been seen since April 21 when Iranian and Russian media reported that there had been a coup attempt. Some reports suggest that he is on vacation in Egypt as a special guest of President Abdel Fattah elSisi.Contrary to this, Iranian and Russian media claim an armed uprising. Reports to this effect have been published in British newspaper (Daily Mail) and Pakistani media while videos were posted on social media which claimed to be of heavy gunfire outside the palace in Riyadh.
Iran’s Kayhan newspaper has claimed many things without concrete evidences which we are avoiding to print here as we don’t want to give space to disturbing information which obviously need confirmation from the Saudi Government. Exploiting the given circumstances, certain elements are posting very disturbing images and video on social media which is a matter of great concern for the sincere friends of the Kingdom. People took sigh of relief and expressed gratitude to God over releasing an important picture negating Iranian and Russian gossip. The prince’s press spokesman has tweeted pictures of him chairing a meeting of the Council for Economic and Development Affairs.
Prince Mohammad is seeking to reform Saudi Arabia and has introduced measuresto loosen the country’sstrict gendersegregation and crackdown on corruption. He has also recently signalled a softening of the Saudi attitude to Israel saying it has a ‘right’ to a homeland as well as Palestinians should have their own country to live. At just 32, he wields incredible power and influence in the kingdom. Supporting overwhelmingly, people regard him as dynamic leader who wants to see his country at the peak of development, prosperity and stability.
