SRINAGAR: Salman Khan and co-star Jacqueline Fernandez wrapped up the Sonamarg schedule of their upcoming action- packed thriller, Race 3, and left for Leh by road. A source from the crew told Mirror that after reaching Kargil, Salman, with Jacqueline sitting behind him, drove to Leh on a motorcycle according to a Mumbai Mirror report.

“It was a great ride. Of the nine bikes, five are high-end ones which we have brought down from Mumbai. Even the producer (Ramesh Taurani) and director (Remo D’souza), along with other members of the crew were on bikes. Some locals from Sonamarg who have grown close to Salman during the shoot, also travelled with him to Leh and Ladakh,” added the source.

On Thursday, after packup, the actors, along with the crew, had visited various tourists spots in Sonamarg. This is Jacqueline’s first visit to the Valley. Before leaving for Leh, she took a ride in a snow bike to Zero Point, which is around 30-35 kms from Sonamarg, beyond the Zojila Pass, and promises a breath-taking view of the mountains.
The team is shooting a romantic song there which is a last-minute addition to the film. Salman has penned the lyrics and has sung it too. The actor is a new entrant to the Race franchise. The film also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem.
After Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarizyaan team raised the hackles of locals in Sonmarg when they accessed the restricted path leading to the endangered Thajiwas glaciers a few weeks ago, Salman Khan and his Race 3 crew was provided with environment-friendly vehicles to shoot in the area by the state development authority.
“Around 10 battery-driven cars have been provided to the Race 3 crew to shoot at Thajiwas glacier. The local line producer, Khawar Jamshed (who has previously facilitated shooting of films like Rockstar and Jab Tak Hai Jaan in the area), handles all major Bollywood shoot in Kashmir and has made sure that this one goes smoothly as well,” a source close to the development told Mirror.
