Beware! Many Pak housing societies doing business without govt NOC

ISLAMABAD: Investment in housing business is reportedly best for way of earning profit for Pakistanis especially for overseas Pakistanis that is the reason that housing societies are applying various tactics to lure them. But they should be alert as many of these societies are doing business illegal.
According to an Online news agency report, as many as thirty housing societies are doing business in different areas of Federal Capital without getting any No Objection Certificate (NOC) with the connivance of CDA planning Wing department, sources stated.
The sources revealed that officials of CDA planning wing department have allegedly committed financial corruption worth billion of rupees with the collaboration of these illegal housing societies. They stated that fifteen out of thirty societies hadn’t has require land according to the CDA laws and dozens of these societies not sought approval of required maps from CDA planning wing department.
Housing societies that are running their ugly business without any check and balance including Jammu and Kashmir Housing society, Cooperative Housing Society Soan Gardan, Civilians Employees housing society, Central Board of Revenue Employees Housing society, Aghosh Housing Society, Multi Professional Housing Society, Cabinet Division Employees Housing Society and others.
Sources further stated that number of secretors of above mentioned cooperative housing societies haven’t developed for past many years and CDA didn’t issued any developmental work NOC to these societies. Officials of these housing societies are allegedly looting the allottees without any fear and justification. Some housing societies are not meeting the standard of CDA by-laws and these are Faisal Town, Ghouri Town, Ashraf Town, Royal City, Barma Town and others.
When “Online” contacted to the CDA Director planning Wing Malik Sarfraz he stated that number of societies had submitted applications for getting NOC and added that many societies are going towards regularization process.
