LONDON: A meeting with parliamentarians to discuss the Kashmir issue was held at one of the Parliament rooms on Monday and at this occasions the speakers urged for earliest possible solution to this imbroglio.
“Justice for Kashmir” meeting was hosted by Raja Najabat Hussain Chairman JKSDMI. Also in attendance were MP Chris Leslie Chairman APPG on Kashmir of All Parties Parliamentary Group, MP Jack Brereton Senior Vice President Chairperson APPG on Kashmir ofAll Parties Parliamentary Group, MP Allex Sobel, MP Naaz Shah, MP Afzal Khan, MP Mohammed Yasin, Lord Nazir Ahmed, MP Khalid Mahmood, Richard Burgan MP, Chris Williams MP, Ivan Lewis MP, Raja Ijaz Mahmood, Mrs Shahida Jarral representative of MLN, Professor Shahid Iqbal, Aslam Rashid Sheikh (president Carelink UK east London branch), Sameeh Zubari, Dr Sheikh Ramzy leader World Peace Federation, Mushtaq Lashari (chairman Third World Solidarity Faizullah khan ex Mayor and others.
The speakers said that Kashmiris want to stop human rights violations in Jammu & Kashmir as a matter of priority. India and Pakistan should start a discussion on the Kashmir Issue and involve the Kashmiri nation as a third party.
They also demanded the right to the self-determination and a referendum on Kashmir Issue, like in Scotland. The Kashmiri leader said that they are trying to arrange a fourth debate on Kashmir in the British Parliament as well as lobbying the British Parliament across parties.
It is a fortune of oppressed Kashmiri people that majority of Parliamentarians support them and they have given assurance to come out with full force in support of these efforts.
Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Self Determination International, Raja Najabat Hussain presented the JKSDMI Kashmir petition for the fourth debate on the Kashmir to Chris Laisley MP, Jack Brereton MP and Afzal Khan MP along with Mushtaq Lashari.
