RAWALPINDI: Before embarking to Britain on a week-long tour, AJK President Sardar Masood Khan held a detailed meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ on Friday and discussed with him overall Kashmir situation and itinerary of his tour, especially the meeting of APPG on Kashmir called at Parliament Committee Rooms on Wednesday.
Sardar Masood left the following day on early Saturday and addressed the Pakistani Councillors Convention in London the same day. During the meeting at GHQ, the two discussed matters of mutual concern particularly situation on Line of Control (LOC). The ISPR sources said that there was agreement to continue policy of restraint on Indian provocations as on both sides, it is Kashmiris who suffer from escalation. Sardar Masood appreciated the Army’s contribution towards security and development in AJ&K. Gen Bajwa said that Pakistani forces are ready and vigilant at the borders and any eventuality from other side would be dealt effectively.
