Abbasi, Nawaz to address AJK Assembly, Council session
MUZAFFARABAD: Joint sitting of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and Kashmir Council has been summoned on February 5, solidarity day with Kashmiris, for visit of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif.
All the arrangements have been completed and roads are pampered for the visit. The Prime Minister will address joint sitting of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and Kashmir Council under the chair of Speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir.
Federal leaders visited the capital of the state to review security arrangements and traffic of the public meeting. It is vital to mention here that some political parties have announced protest on the occasion.
Meanwhile, AJK President Sardar Masood Khan held a meeting separately with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz in Lahore and discussed with them overall situation of the region. Tense situation at LoC, rapidly changing political situation and forthcoming general elections were the main topics of discussions. Future strategy in regards of all three subjects was also stocked. Sardar Masood Khan especially went to Lahore to meet both the leaders.
