15 people from Punjab shot dead in Turbat, 7 police officials with families murdered in Quetta

QUETTA: Thre major terror attacks have rocked Balochistan, the southern province of Pakistan which isin limelight inWest nowadays. The funeral prayers of 15 persons killed in Turbat were held in Quetta on Thursday. Preparations have also been made to shift the bodies to Lahore as all killed people belonged to Punjab and their bullet ridden bodies were found inTurbat.Alarge number of people includingBalochistanChief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, Commander Southern Command Lt. General Asim Saleem Bajwa, Provincial Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti and other high officials attended the funeral prayers. Asenior district administration official with secret name said that terrorists have killed all the 15 men near the Pak-Iran border.

QUETTA: Funeral prayer is being offered for 15 people on Thursday who were shot dead in Turbat two days before. Later, the bodies were sent to Lahore for burial.

They illegally want to enter Iran and were heading towards Europevia Turkey. The dead bodies will be shifted to Lahore through C 130 and then to Sialkot and Mandi Bahaudd in and other destinations of Punjab. Bullet-riddled bodies Fifteen bullet-riddled bodies were discovered by the Levies force inBalochistan’s Kech district on Wednesday morning. Levies found the bodies in the Gorak area of tehsil Buleda. “All the victims received multiple bullets from a close range,” he said.
Upon discovery of the bodies, Levies and FrontierCorps personnel reached the area and the bodies were shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Turbat.
A search operation was launched in the area but no arrests have been made so far. It is yet to ascertained whether the victims were labourers or illegal immigrants trying to enter Iran on their way to Europe, the officer said. A large number of people from Punjab and other parts of Pakistan attempt to sneak into Iran illegally on their way to Greece and other European countries in search of greener pastures.
Kech district is considered to be one of the sensitive districts in the province. Militants in the area have repeatedly attacked labourers, security forces and pro-government politicians in the area. The victims were identified as Muhammad Hussain (Wah Cantt), Azhar Waqas, Khurram Shahzad and Zulfiqar (Mandi Bahauddin), Ghulam Rabbani (Wazirabad), Ahsan Raza (Gujranwala), Saifullah (Gujrat), Muhammad Ilyas (Daska), Abdul Ghafoor and Tayyab (Sialkot). Levies sources said that those killed were the people who very often tried to go to European countries via Iran.
The route on which they had been martyred is used by such people. It may be recalled that earlier, three bullet-ridden bodies were found in the area in September, while another two were found in October. On 9th October, Security forces found two bullet-riddled bodies in the Tump area of Kech district on Sunday. Officials of the Balochistan Levies Force said that the people of the area spotted the bodies in the Kulanch area and informed them. The bodies were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Turbat. Quoting doctors at the hospital, Levies officials said that both the bodies were poked with multiple wounds caused by bullets fired from close range. Police officer killed a senior police officer and three of his family members including his wife and son were gunned down by unknown assailants in Quetta Wednesday. The attack, which police say was targeted, comes a week after another senior officer was killed in a suicide attack in the city.”

He said the officer, his wife, son and granddaughter were killed in the attack. On Thursday last, a suicide bomber killed a deputy inspector general of police and two other police personnel.
