LONDON: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif talking to his ailing wife Begum Kulsoom Nawaz sitting by her bed at the hospital.

Later, talking to waiting media persons at the door of hospital, Nawaz Sharif naturally with a grim and tense face told them about the progress of his wife and said that please pray for her and all others who are under treatment.

He avoided to answer other questions from the journalists and drove with his colleagues. He even did not comment on arrest of his son-in-law Captain ® Safdar and proclaiming his both sons offenders by the NAB court in Islamabad.

Earlier, Maryam Nawaz twitted that her mother Kulsoom Nawaz, is “being prepared” to undergo her first chemotherapy session in a London hospital.

Maryam Nawaz tweeted two pictures of Kulsoom in a London hospital, with Nawaz by her side, and thanked her followers for their “valuable prayers”. She posted another picture of her parents with the caption “in sickness & in health… A solemn vow”.

Kulsoom was diagnosed with early-stage lymphoma in August when she suddenly left for London for a check-up. She has since undergone three surgeries and remains in London.

In September, Kusloom won the NA-120 by-election. The seat had fallen vacant after her husband was disqualified by the Supreme Court in the Panama Papers case. The election campaign leading up to September’s by-polls was run by Maryam Nawaz.
