Pakistan wants respect, trust and appreciation to its efforts and sacrifices from world: Gen Zubair Says Kashmir is bleeding badly, result oriented dialogue needed


LONDON: General Zubair Hayat, Pakistan’s Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), has said that his country alike other nations is going through huge challenges but is fully capable to deal with them in its own way and with success. “The way we are working, Pakistan, the fifth populist country, will surmount present difficult situation and would be one of the top countries in economy in next 10 years.

Addressing a reception dinner hosted in his honour by World Congress of Overseas Pakistan (WCOP) at a central London hotel on Friday (8th September), he expressed his views covering a number of subjects particularly terrorism, Afghanistan, Pak-UK relations, Kashmir and CPEC.


While appreciating the Pak-UK military cooperation and close association with the UK Army, Gen Zubair Hayat said the number of soldiers in UK Army is 86,000 whereas Pakistan’s 200,000 soldiers are involved in huge operation to nab terrorism only. “Pak Army has full support from public and is engaged in largest operation against terrorism in the world with great success. Situation is quite different now and normalcy is prevailing gradually in those areas where once terrorists created problematic situation for the country and nation”.
